Amazon offers a 30 day trial period free when you sign up for their membership program, Amazon Prime. It gives you early access to deals, plus free two-day shipping. In some cases, you'll even get bumped to complimentary 1-day shipping.
Use the month of December as your 30 day free trial. It costs $99 for the year for free shipping on everything available for Amazon Prime as well as access to steaming videos, music and e-books. After your free trial month you can either accept or decline to buy it for the year. Last year I used the month of December as my free 30 day trial and saved so much money on all my Christmas online shopping and shipping that I decided to purchase it.
