Over the past 4 years I have been on a journey to discover what's next. When my youngest son left for college, I felt completely lost. My greatest purpose and what brought me the most joy, had always been raising my kids. So when the last of the three left, I truly felt like my purpose had just walked out the door. I have a loving husband, inspiring kids and great friends but I still wondered could there be MORE. So I went on a journey to figure it out and this is what I found.... |

I Got a Job
I was looking for a fun place to work where I could meet new people so I took a job at a popular athletic clothing store. While I was there I ran the local running club. That was a blast! After 9 months I discovered retail wasn’t for me. So I started working for an online health and wellness company. I was making some extra money and that felt amazing but I still wasn’t sure I had found “my place” yet. It was all part of the journey. |

Reconnected with Those that Mean the Most
I was committed to be more spontaneous with my husband to focus on things the two of us could do together to bring a new energy to our marriage. We traveled more, we discovered breweries, we hiked, we biked and we became fine connoisseurs of cheese, (we are so sophisticated...not really ha). With my kids….different relationships formed. We did grown up things together like decorate my daughter’s apartment in the city and I helped my oldest son with his new puppy. I stayed in touch with my youngest son over Facetime, text and Snapchat. We also traveled to see him at school. |

Found Joy in My Everyday Life (without kids)
Top 10 favorites (no particular order) 1. Coffee in the morning!! 2. DONUTS! I’m addicted 3. Begin each day singing a Hillary Scott song, offering the day to Jesus 4. Sitting on the deck in the summer eating fancy cheese and crackers 5. Hot bath at the end of the day 6. Going to breweries with husband 7. Spending time with my adult kids 8. My son's puppy Charley 9. A Smash Burger cheeseburger 10. Sleeping outside in the summer |

Discovered Adventure
I decided I wanted more adventure in my life so I did something I had never done before, a bike race...not just any bike race but a race that was 80 miles long and ended over a 10 mile mountain pass. I can honestly say this was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done but one of the most rewarding and empowering! Thanks Lisa! |

Found New Things That I Like to Do Being more adventurous allowed me to be more open minded to the things I thought I couldn’t do or didn’t have the time to do. I now love mountain biking, I enjoy fly fishing, snow shoeing, waterskiing, and I still want to climb a "fourteener". |

Found What I Was Meant to Do! What I wanted more than anything was to be living out what I was meant to do! Through this journey of discovery to figure out my rewarding “what’s next”, I found a way to use my gifts and superpowers (we all have them), past work experiences, and countless hours of research to do what I love to do today! Inspiring and encouraging women to live out their rewarding what’s next is my “limitless spark” and what gets me jumping out of bed every day! I feel so blessed! |
Here I Am TodayOn this journey I learned a lot about myself. Most importantly how to discover how to love “what’s next” at ANY stage of my life. I believe it applies to everyone and I believe every woman should be able to design and construct a rewarding “what’s next” no matter where she is in life!
