Day 16: Decorate Holiday Cookies
This Simple Bliss challenge seems to be a fan favorite because so many of us already do this. This year take this Simple Bliss Pursuit of making cookies and add the Humans Pursuit and make a party out of it!
White Bean Chicken Chili
2T olive oil
1 onion finely chopped
14oz. can green chopped chilies
3 T flour
2T. cumin
2 cans Bush White Northern Beans
1 can chicken broth
1 1/2 c. chopped chicken (I like to use a rotisserie chicken)
Cook onions and olive oil until onions are transparent (about 3 minutes)
Add green chiles, cumin and flour (this will be pastey) cook for 2 minutes on medium
Whisk in chicken broth and cook until thickens
Add beans and chicken
Add garlic salt and pepper to taste
Simmer on low for 15-20 minutes
Top with each bowl with cheese and sour cream
*TIP: pour the chicken broth from the bottom of the rotisserie chicken bag into pot. This adds a ton of flavor to the chili.
- Invite a friend or group of girls over to decorate holiday cookies.
- Turn up the Christmas music.
- Offer santa hats for your guests to wear or tell them to wear theirs to the party.
- Serve hot cocoa or apple cider and if you really want to make it a party offer cocktails.
- You can serve something easy like soup or chili. Here is our family favorite, white bean chicken chili recipe. It's always a big hit whenever we serve it!

Holiday Cookie Party! This year me and my daughter made cookies with one of her best girl friends and her mom, who is mine! They had two favorite recipes that they make each year and we brought two of our favorites and all the ingredients to make them. We turned up the Christmas music and had a blast sampling each cookie as they came out of the oven!!! #makingmemories
